How to navigate a Blog Garden
This blog site runs slightly different from what you’ve seen in the past! Bear with me as I’m still workshopping the name, but the premise won’t change. The idea is that my thoughts on a particular post - in this case, a decan - don’t end when I click publish. Many of our most insightful reflections come weeks or months later. The problem with blogging (or vlogging) is that you do all your work on the front end. What if some of my journaling on a decan makes me rethink something from 3 months prior? If my content schedule dictates I publish by the first day of the decan, I’m not following the decans by leading it in a way. For example, all of my reading and journaling on Aries I (”Dominion”) should be done BEFOREHAND so I can publish by the first day of the decan for content (*insert SpongeBob mocking meme*).
Enter my Blog Garden. This Notion blog is live, which means that as I type into the page, the words are posted to the site. Everything is forever a work in progress, and everything can be edited. That can be chaotic, but I have a few rules to keep it organized.
- Every post has a “last edited” property, so changes are documented automatically.
- All changes related to later posts will be bi-directionally linked for easier navigation.
- Any pages updated will have comments explaining the changes. This doesn’t include grammatical changes or improvements to my writing.
